7-Day Itinerary

+ Day 1: Arrival -- Chengdu

Activities:
Arrive in Chengdu by train or flight.
Meet & greet by Chengdu-based staff at the airport/train station.
Transfer to the hotel.
Free time for personal activities after hotel check-in.
No guided tour or scheduled sightseeing on this day.

+ Day 2: Chengdu -- Dujiangyan (or Panda Valley) -- Maoxian -- Chuanzhusi -- Jiuzhaigou Entrance

Activities:
Early morning (around 6:30 AM): Pick-up from your hotel (within Chengdu 3rd Ring Road) or a designated meeting point if staying outside the area.
Visit Dujiangyan Irrigation System or Panda Valley.
Lunch around 11:30 AM -- 12:00 PM after the visit.
Afternoon: Depart around 1:30 PM.
Travel along Du-Wen Highway to Maoxian.
Enjoy scenic views of Aba's alpine valleys and Zagunao River Valley.
Pass through Songpan Ancient Town and Chuanzhusi.
Arrival at Jiuzhaigou Valley Entrance around 7:00--8:00 PM.
Check-in at hotel near Jiuzhaigou.
Around 8:00 PM, enjoy a complimentary traditional Tibetan dinner.

+ Day 3: Full Day Tour of Jiuzhaigou Valley

Activities:
08:00 AM -- Breakfast at hotel, then depart for Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area entrance. 09:00 AM -- 12:00 PM -- Enter Jiuzhaigou via sightseeing bus, exploring the main scenic areas:Shuzheng Valley, Zechawa Valley, and possibly Rize Valley (based on current official route regulations).
Jiuzhaigou is a stunning alpine valley stretching over 40 km, known for its: Colorful highland lakes, Tiered waterfalls, Multicolored forests, Snow-capped mountains, and unique Tibetan culture.
12:00 PM -- Option to have lunch at Nuorilang Restaurant (buffet, at own expense).
1:00 PM -- 6:00 PM -- Continue exploring Jiuzhaigou, with optional experiences such as:Afternoon tea at scenic spots, Traditional Tibetan costume photography.
6:00 PM -- Exit the park and return to hotel.
7:00 PM -- 9:00 PM -- Optional evening entertainment (at your own expense), such as:"Jiuzhai Eternal Love" performance or other local cultural shows.
Accommodation:Hotel near Jiuzhaigou Valley Entrance (same as previous night).

+ Day 4: Jiuzhaigou → Chuanzhusi → Huanglong Scenic Area → Maoxian → Chengdu

Activities:
Morning -- Breakfast at hotel, then depart for the Huanglong Scenic Area, known as "Heavenly Pool on Earth".
10:00 AM -- Arrive at Huanglong Scenic Area. Enjoy a 3--4 hour visit, with crowd-avoiding arrangements for a better experience.
Huanglong is famous for: Thousands of terraced calcium-carbonate pools, Shimmering turquoise and golden colors.
World's longest calcified flow (2,500 meters).
Note: Walking in the park can be physically demanding. You may take the cable car at your own cost (Up: ¥80, Down: ¥40 per person).
Afternoon/Evening -- After sightseeing, drive back to Chengdu via Maoxian.
Accommodation: Return to hotel in Chengdu.

+ Day 5: Chengdu Panda Base → Sanxingdui Museum

Morning:
08:00 -- Private car picks up guests from their respective hotels in Chengdu.
09:00--11:30 -- Visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (approx. 2 hours):See giant pandas, red pandas, cranes, swans, geese, peacocks, and over 90 species of birds. Explore over 300 species of plants and enjoy the lush environment. Guests can explore freely and watch the pandas' routines based on our recommended guide.
Afternoon:
14:30--17:30 -- Visit Sanxingdui Museum: Learn about the ancient Shu civilization and view extraordinary Bronze Age artifacts.
Note: If, due to seasonal changes or adjustments made by the scenic area, or if Sanxingdui tickets are unavailable during peak season, we reserve the right to substitute the Sanxingdui Museum with the Jinsha Site Museum.
Optional Add-on (Evening):
After tour drop-off at Qintai Road, you can choose to join: Sichuan Opera show "Shu Feng Ya Yun", or Jinjiang River Night Cruise. (Ask your travel consultant for booking details.)

Hotel pick-up after breakfast, then begin a full day of exploring Chengdu's most iconic and trendy locations:
Kuanzhai Alley:Combines Qing Dynasty architecture with modern culture, boutique shops, and local snacks.
Jinli Ancient Street:One of the oldest commercial streets in Western Sichuan. Features Sichuan snacks, folk crafts, opera masks, and cultural performances.
Taikoo Li :A modern shopping district built around the ancient Daci Temple. Popular for trendy cafés, dessert bars, bookstores, and an overall relaxed "slow life" vibe.
IFS (International Finance Square):Most famous for its giant panda sculpture climbing the mall wall -- a must-see photo spot.

    The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is the largest giant panda breeding research institution in the world and the best place to observe these national treasures. The base boasts a beautiful ecological environment with lush greenery, making it a comprehensive attraction that integrates research, education, tourism, and conservation. Here, you can closely observe the adorable antics of giant pandas, from munching on bamboo and climbing trees to rolling around, all of which will bring a smile to your face. In addition to the pandas, the base features a specialized science education area, allowing visitors to learn about their habits and conservation knowledge while enjoying the charming pandas. There's also a special “Panda Encounter” experience, where you can meet the celebrity panda "Hua Hua."

    Chunxi Road

    Chunxi Road is Chengdu’s most popular district, where modern attractions mix with local street snacks and traditional teahouses. While enjoying authentic Sichuan cuisine, you can also find panda-themed shops and souvenirs, adding a fun touch to the vibrant atmosphere of the city and its beloved pandas. Visitors often stop by to snap a fun photo with the iconic panda butt statue, a favorite spot for panda lovers. 

    Sanxingdui Museum

    Tour the Sanxingdui site and explore its fascinating ancient civilization. Named after three large earth mounds that rise abruptly from the Chengdu Plain, Sanxingdui is a modern archaeological museum dedicated to the ancient Shu culture and one of the most important Bronze Age sites in southwestern China.The discovery of two massive sacrificial pits from the Shang dynasty revealed thousands of rare artifacts, including the Bronze Divine Tree, the Golden Staff, and the towering Bronze Standing Figure—many of which are unique in the world. These findings pushed back the timeline of the Shu civilization to 5,000 years ago and offer rich historical, scientific, artistic, and visual value. Here, you’ll experience the brilliance of ancient Shu culture and encounter the many mysteries that still surround Sanxingdui.

    Dujiangyan

    Located in the western part of Chengdu Plain, in the city of Dujiangyan, Sichuan Province, this ancient water conservancy project sits on the Minjiang River. It was originally constructed during the late Qin Dynasty under the command of Governor Li Bing and his son, who built it based on earlier works by the legendary figure Bie Ling. The Dujiangyan system, which includes the Fish Mouth, Flying Sand Weir, and Baopingkou, is the world’s oldest and largest water engineering project still in use today. Notably, it is unique for its ability to divert water without the use of dams.This marvel of ancient Chinese engineering represents the diligence, bravery, and wisdom of the country’s ancient laborers. It is a testament to the ingenuity that continues to shape modern China.

    Kuanzhai Alley

    Kuanzhai Alley is a historic and vibrant area in Chengdu, offering a perfect blend of ancient charm and modern lifestyle. The name "Kuanzhai" translates to "wide and narrow," referring to the two parallel alleys—one wide and the other narrow—that make up the heart of this cultural zone. These alleys date back to the Qing Dynasty and were once residential areas for merchants and officials. Today, they have been beautifully restored and transformed into a lively cultural hub, lined with traditional courtyard houses, teahouses, restaurants, boutique shops, and artisan stalls.
