+ DAY 1: Chengdu → Enshi → Phoenix Ancient Town

Depart from Chengdu East Railway Station by high-speed train D2238 (scheduled between 8:00–9:00 AM; subject to actual ticketing). The train is expected to depart at 09:18 and arrive in Enshi at 13:47 (total travel time: approx. 4 hours 29 minutes).
Upon arrival in Enshi, drive about 320 kilometers (approximately 4–5 hours) to Phoenix Ancient Town.
A shuttle bus fee of ¥28 per person is included as a complimentary service.

In the evening, enjoy the stunning night view of Phoenix on your own. Stroll along the scenic Tuojiang River, soaking in the charm of this ancient town under the lights.

+ DAY 2: Phoenix Ancient Town → Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon (Glass Bridge) → “Charming Xiangxi” Show

After breakfast, explore the picturesque Phoenix Ancient Town, once praised by New Zealand writer Rewi Alley as “the most beautiful town in China.”
Your guided walking tour (approx. 2 hours) includes the main streets and cultural highlights of the town. Please note: the entrance to small attractions within the ancient town is not included and may require additional tickets depending on local policy.
Wander along the folk culture pedestrian street, where you'll find:
1. Traditional ginger candy shops dating back generations

+ DAY 3: Zhangjiajie National Forest Park – Golden Whip Stream – Bailong Elevator – Yuanjiajie – Tianzi Mountain

After breakfast, take an eco-friendly shuttle bus (approx. 20 minutes) and enter the mystical world of Pandora as you explore Wulingyuan Core Scenic Area, part of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park – China's first national forest park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Begin your adventure with a walk through the breathtaking Golden Whip Stream Canyon, often hailed as one of the most beautiful gorges in the world, known for its crystal-clear waters, lush forests, and towering quartz-sandstone peaks.

Next, ascend to the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area via the Bailong Elevator (included, valued at ¥72/person) – the world’s tallest outdoor elevator.
This area inspired the Hallelujah Mountains in James Cameron’s Avatar. Spend about 1.5 hours marveling at otherworldly landscapes such as:

1. Entry into the scenic area requires a real-name reservation system and is organized in time slots. Please carry your passport with you at all times. The actual order of visits may be adjusted according to reservation time.

+ DAY 4: Tianmen Mountain Glass Skywalk → Furong Town (Evening Cultural Show)

After breakfast, head to Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park, known as the "Soul of Wuling" and one of the most iconic landmarks in Western Hunan.
Experience the Five Wonders of Tianmen Mountain:
1. Tianmen Cableway: The longest single-line loop cable car in the world, with a slanted length of 7,455 meters and a vertical rise of 1,279 meters.
2. Glass Skywalk: A thrilling transparent walkway clinging to the cliffside — not for the faint of heart!
3. Tongtian Avenue: Also called the “Heaven-Linking Avenue,” this road winds through 99 bends and climbs nearly 1,000 vertical meters — known as "the most spectacular mountain road in China."
4. Tianmen Cave ("Heaven’s Gate"): Ride an internal escalator tunnel through the mountain to reach the famous natural arch, where you can pause to offer prayers for peace and blessings.
5. Guigu Cliffside Walk: A 1,600-meter-long trail suspended along towering cliffs at an altitude of 1,400 meters, offering jaw-dropping views and adrenaline-filled steps.
After your visit, drive approximately 80 km (about 2 hours) to Furong Town.
In the evening, enjoy the immersive outdoor cultural performance “Blooming Furong – The Carnival of Bizi Ka”.
This large-scale show (complimentary with the tour) integrates live storytelling, ethnic dance, and music in both indoor and outdoor natural settings, offering a truly unique experience in Chinese tourism theater.

2. The park offers several fixed route options (A, B, C, 1, 2), combining cableway and eco-bus segments.
A Line: Cableway up – Fast track down
B Line: Fast track up – Cableway down
C Line: Fast track round trip

Morning:
After breakfast, explore Furong Town, a thousand-year-old village built atop a spectacular waterfall.
Also known as Wangcun, this historic town was once home to Tujia chieftains and has over 2,000 years of history.
Take a ferry ride into the scenic area (complimentary You River Gallery boat ticket and electric cart included; if not available due to weather or other factors, road transport will be used instead).
Highlights:
Scenic cruise along the You River, famous for its crystal-clear water, limestone cliffs, and peaceful mountain views.
Enjoy the rich Tujia ethnic culture and stunning natural surroundings.
Afternoon:
Drive approximately 210 km (about 3 hours) to Enshi Railway Station.
Take high-speed train D637 (15:53–20:40, subject to actual ticketing) back to Chengdu.

    2. Transportation in Scenic Areas
      Inside scenic areas, transportation between attractions is provided by free public eco-buses. These are shared and not assigned to specific tour groups. Group members may need to board separate buses. Due to heavy crowds, please gather promptly at the locations designated by your guide and avoid getting separated. Do not leave personal belongings on the eco-buses.

    3. Clothing Tips
      Zhangjiajie is a mountainous region. Wear comfortable flat shoes suitable for walking in hilly areas. Avoid skirts, and bring rain gear, sunscreen, and a sun hat.

    4. Wildlife Safety
      Monkeys are common in the scenic areas. Please do not approach or feed them, and avoid touching any wild animals to prevent injury.

    5. Peak Season Advisory
      During peak times, long queues may occur for eco-buses, elevators, etc. Please follow your guide’s instructions and try to avoid peak hours.

    6. Weather Disruptions
      In case of snow, ice, or other force majeure events, access to the Glass Skywalk may be closed. Our company will not be held responsible for such closures.

    7. Phoenix Ancient Town Access
      Due to traffic regulations, tour vehicles may only park at designated areas. Guests may need to walk to their hotel.

    8. Phoenix Town Admission
      Since April 10, 2016, Fenghuang (Phoenix) Ancient Town has removed its compulsory admission ticket policy. Visitors may explore freely. However, if local authorities temporarily reinstate entrance fees, guests must pay the RMB 148/person ticket themselves.

    9. Shopping Disclaimer
      Fenghuang is an open commercial town. Specialty product recommendations by guides are for informational purposes only. All purchases are voluntary. Our agency will not accept complaints regarding shopping in this area.

    10. Check-Out Reminder
      Please check all personal belongings carefully before departing the hotel.

    11. Hotel Facilities in Xiangxi Region
      Hotels in mountainous Xiangxi often provide hot water and air conditioning at scheduled times, depending on weather and local water supply. Please be understanding.

    12. Group Tour Nature
      As this is a group tour with guests arriving via different means, minor waiting times due to delayed flights or trains are normal. Guests who miss the scheduled departure time due to personal reasons will bear any additional costs incurred.

    13. No Refunds for Unused Services
      This is a package tour. Tickets and included services are non-refundable, even if not used. No discounts are available for seniors, students, etc.

    14. No Mid-Tour Departures
      Guests are not allowed to leave the group midway for any reason. Those who do so will be considered in breach of contract. No refunds will be issued for unused meals, accommodation, tickets, or transportation, and the agency assumes no liability for incidents occurring after the guest departs.

    15. Feedback Policy
      Please provide honest feedback on the guide service evaluation form. We are not responsible for disputes arising from false or incomplete feedback. If you have any issues during the trip, report them immediately via the local quality hotline. Complaints must be recorded locally to be valid.

    16. Health & Age Restrictions
      Children and guests over 70 must be accompanied by a guardian. Those with pre-existing medical conditions must notify us in advance. All guests are responsible for their own personal and property safety during the trip.

    17. Limitations on Elderly & Pregnant Travelers
      Due to safety concerns, we regret that we are unable to accommodate guests aged 80 or older, or pregnant travelers.

    18. Traveling in Remote Mountain Areas
      In remote areas of Xiangxi, roads may be winding and complex. Do not explore alone. Always consult your guide before heading out. Wear light clothing and carry rain gear. Bring motion sickness medication if needed.

    19. Safety & Conduct
      Zhangjiajie and many scenic areas are non-smoking zones. Please ask your guide or local staff before smoking. Avoid casually asking prices or touching fragile items at market stalls. If you do not intend to buy, avoid bargaining or showing interest.

    20. Itinerary Adjustments
      Due to weather, traffic, or queue-related delays, the local guide may adjust the order of visits without affecting the overall itinerary.

    21. Contract Acknowledgment
      Please attach this notice to the tour contract. It contains essential travel information. Tour participants are required to read and sign to confirm understanding and acceptance.
