Overnight: Wulingyuan
After breakfast, head to Qixing Mountain, located in the southern part of Yongding District, Zhangjiajie, Hunan Province. This area features massive karst solitary-peak landforms.
Take the Qixing Mountain Cable Car (approx. 2,003 meters in length, 10 minutes ride) to reach the mountaintop via dramatic cliffside walls.
Stroll along the Ruyi Glass Skywalk, continuing on foot to the popular Sky Eye 1520, a trendy glass observation platform perched at 1,520 meters above sea level. This is one of the best places to catch breathtaking views of sunrise, seas of clouds, glowing sunsets, and starry skies.
Next, visit China’s first national forest park — Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Explore Huangshizhai (Yellow Stone Village), named for its lion-like appearance. This area is one of the most scenic parts of Zhangjiajie and a highlight of the entire region.

Begin with a visit to Tianzi Mountain, including a complimentary one-way ride on the Tianzi Mountain Cable Car. Highlights here include Helong Park, West Sea Stone Forest, Fairy Offering Flowers, and Tianzi Pavilion, offering sweeping views of jagged peaks shrouded in mist.
Continue to the core scenic area of Yuanjiajie, descending via the Bailong Elevator (VIP reserved ride included). This area is famously known as the filming location for the movie Avatar, home to the real-life Hallelujah Mountain—the floating peaks of Pandora brought to life.
Marvel at natural wonders like God’s Army Gathering, The Back Garden, The First Bridge Under Heaven, and Lost Souls Platform. The surreal terrain of layered peaks and swirling mist creates an otherworldly experience that may leave you spellbound.
Afterwards, travel by bus to the extraordinary Yellow Dragon Cave (VIP visit), honored as the “Champion of All Caves Worldwide.” Its most iconic feature is the “Magic Spear”, the tallest known stalagmite.
You’ll also enjoy a romantic underground boat ride along the Echo River inside the cave, where stalactites and shadows create a dreamlike atmosphere.
Warm Reminders:
1.Zhangjiajie is a mountainous destination—please wear comfortable flat shoes. Skirts are not recommended. Bring rain gear, sun hats, and mosquito repellent.
2.During peak tourist seasons, long wait times may occur; this is normal and not grounds for complaints.
3.Lunch is not included today. There’s only one restaurant on the mountain and the food is basic. There are options like McDonald's and local snacks in the park, but it's best to pack your own light meals.
4.Zhangjiajie operates on a real-name reservation system. Depending on reservation availability, the tour operator may adjust the order of visits without changing the attractions included.
+ DAY 4: Tianmen Mountain & Glass Skywalk – Furong Town – Fenghuang Ancient Town
Overnight: Fenghuang
After breakfast, visit the iconic Tianmen Mountain.
Ascend to the Cloud Dream Summit for a panoramic view of the entire Zhangjiajie area. Experience the adrenaline rush of walking on the Glass Skywalk (shoe covers provided), which clings to the cliffside and offers breathtaking views below.
Continue to explore the natural wonder Tianmen Cave, then descend the mountain using the through-the-mountain escalator (included).
Next, head to the millennium-old Furong Town, famously known as “the town hanging on a waterfall.” (Scenic shuttle and boat ride included.)
In the evening, arrive at the romantic Fenghuang Ancient Town, praised by New Zealand writer Rewi Alley as “the most beautiful town in China.” After check-in, you're free to stroll along the misty Tuojiang River at night, soak in the Miao ethnic culture, and enjoy sights like the Seven-Layer Water Curtain Light Show. You can also light a wishing lantern, or gather with friends at a riverside bar to try the local specialty Huzi liquor, letting go of your worries in the charm of the Miao homeland.
Warm Reminders:
1.In the event of heavy rain or force majeure, the Glass Skywalk may be temporarily closed; the travel agency is not liable for such closures.
2.Tianmen Mountain has multiple visiting routes: double cableways A, B, C and single cableways 1 & 2. The actual route will depend on the official reservation system.
3.Tianmen Mountain requires real-name reservation and prepayment. Once booked, cancellations are subject to ticket loss fees.
4.Since April 10, 2016, Fenghuang Ancient Town has removed mandatory ticketing for its main area, so visitors may explore the old town freely.
5.Due to traffic control in Fenghuang, tour buses may park at designated spots only. Guests may need to walk to the hotel or to enjoy the night views.
6.Zhangjiajie Scenic Area requires real-name reservations. Based on reservation status, the tour operator reserves the right to adjust the order of attractions without reducing the overall experience.

Then, board a traditional Tuojiang River boat. As you float gently downstream, passing under the iconic Hong Bridge, a picturesque Jiangnan-style riverscape unfolds before you. Upon docking, walk up the steps to the magnificent Wanshou Palace, a traditional guild hall renowned for its refined architecture — intricately carved, with soaring eaves and winding corridors — a true masterpiece of classical Chinese design.
Next, stroll down the popular Cuicui Street, known as a romantic meeting spot for Miao couples and inspired by the heroine in Shen Congwen’s novel Border Town.
Gain insight into the Miao ethnic group's silver forging techniques, a UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritage. You’ll also have the chance to taste some delicious handmade Miao-style ginger candy, free of charge.
The blend of ancient architecture, cultural heritage, and scenic charm will leave you deeply enchanted.

Fenghuang and Furong Town are open-style marketplaces. Items like silver jewelry, horn combs, batik, and local snacks may be introduced by the guide, but all purchases are entirely voluntary. The travel agency does not accept shopping-related complaints in these areas.
Due to traffic control in Fenghuang, tour vehicles may be required to stop at designated areas. Walking may be necessary to reach your hotel or enjoy the night views.
