  • Tagong Grassland:With an altitude of 3,720 meters, Tagong Grassland has gentle undulations under the sun, abundant water and grass, blooming wildflowers, and colorful prayer flags everywhere. The Yala Snow Mountain in the distance appears and disappears. "Tagong" means "the place liked by Bodhisattvas".
  • Yuzixi: A 360-degree viewing platform surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Here, you can see Yala Snow Mountain, Gongga Mountain Range, and Qingrao Sacred Mountain simultaneously.
  • Hong haizi: Called the "Sky Mirror Hidden among Mountains and Seas".
  • Muge Tso: Also known as "Wild Man Sea" or "Big Sea Son". It is at an altitude of 3,700 meters and is surrounded by mountains and forests.

4-Day Itinerary

+ DAY 1: Chengdu – Balang Mountain – Maobuliang Viewing Platform – Siguniang Mountain Shuangqiao Valley Scenic Area

The tour departs from downtown Chengdu (pickup service is available within the city's third ring road; the exact time will be confirmed by staff the evening before departure). The journey follows the China Panda Avenue, crossing over Balang Mountain before reaching the viewing platform. After lunch, we will head to the Shuangqiao Valley Scenic Area in Siguniang Mountain for sightseeing, with a minimum of 3 hours allocated for exploration. Entrance tickets will be scanned on-site for access. After the visit, the driver will pick up the group at the entrance of the scenic area and continue the journey to Danba County or Rilong Town for overnight accommodation. The drive to Danba or Bamei takes approximately 2 hours. After dinner, check in to the hotel and enjoy some rest.
Warm Tips:

1. About the Gathering: The general departure time is 07:00 AM (subject to change; the guide will notify you the night before). During holidays, the departure time may be brought forward to around 5:00 AM, and the pick-up time may be adjusted by 1-1.5 hours earlier.

2. Guide Contact: The guide will contact you between 18:00 and 21:00 the night before departure. Please remember the departure time, location, car plate number, and guide’s details, and keep your phone available. If you do not receive any contact by 21:00, please reach out to us.

3. Traffic Delays: During peak season, you may encounter traffic congestion. Please bring some snacks for the journey.

4. Itinerary Adjustments: The guide may adjust the order of visits depending on road and traffic conditions.

5. Due to its special location (along a major traffic route), the Maobuliang Viewing Platform will not be included during peak season (July to September) and public holidays, and visits will be canceled during these times.

6. Luggage Restrictions: Each person is allowed to carry only 1 suitcase with a maximum size of 24 inches. Please plan your packing accordingly.

+ DAY 2: Danba / Siguniang Mountain Town – Yala Snow Mountain Viewing Platform – Moxi Stone Park – Gunong Village – Tagong – Yuzixi – Xinduqiao

After breakfast, depart for the Yala Snow Mountain Viewing Platform, where you will have at least 10 minutes to enjoy the panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks. Next, head to Moxi Stone Park for at least 1 hour of exploration. Entrance will be accessed by queuing on-site. Then, proceed to Tagong Grassland, where you will spend approximately 30 minutes. Located at an altitude of 3,720 meters, Tagong Grassland is a tranquil place bathed in sunlight, with gently rolling hills, lush vegetation, wildflowers in full bloom, and colorful prayer flags scattered throughout. In the distance, Yala Snow Mountain appears intermittently. The name Tagong means “a place favored by Bodhisattvas.” In the afternoon, travel to the Yuzixi Sunset Viewing Spot, with an estimated 1.5-hour drive and a minimum 30-minute stay for sightseeing. After the visit, return to Xinduqiao Town, which takes about 1 hour by car. After dinner, check in to your hotel for the night.
Kind Reminders:

1. If Yuzixi is inaccessible, it will be replaced with alternative viewpoints of similar type, such as Balang Shengdu Village, Zhazhen, or Xinduqiao Viewing Platform. Please note that any additional costs for transfer vehicles, cleaning fees, or similar expenses at these alternative sites will be at your own expense.

2. The weather in the highland areas can be unpredictable. Some mountain passes have high altitudes and strong winds. When visiting Yuzixi, please make sure to bring warm clothing, scarves, hats, and other protective gear to guard against the wind and cold.

3.Yuzixi has poor road conditions, and during the peak season, heavy traffic can lead to significant delays. As a result, the return time to Xinduqiao in the evening cannot be predicted.

+ DAY 3: Xinduqiao – Jiagenba – Moon Lake – Zesangla Gongga Sky Garden – Xinduqiao

After breakfast, depart for Shade Town and then head to Moon Lake for at least 1 hour of sightseeing. In the afternoon, depending on the time, proceed to Jiagenba. Following that, visit Zesangla Gongga Sky Garden, which requires a shuttle transfer to the mountain. You will have a minimum of 30 minutes to explore the Sky Garden. After finishing the afternoon activities, return to Xinduqiao Town for check-in at the hotel.

Reminder:

1. Zesangla Gongga Sky Garden: Due to local village regulations in western Sichuan, there is a cleaning fee of 30 RMB per person (subject to local charging standards). Currently, due to limited road conditions, business vehicles and minibuses cannot reach the mountain. The itinerary vehicle fee covers only the drive to Jiagenba Town. If you wish to visit the viewing platform at the Sky Garden, you will need to pay the local shuttle transfer fee, which is approximately 280-320 RMB per vehicle (for a 5-seat SUV).

2. Important Reminder: Jiagenba is not a fixed sightseeing stop but a general administrative region name. The town of Jiagenba will be visited along the way, mainly for scenic views of streams, meadows, and yaks. There is no fixed parking spot for photos, and the stop duration will be arranged by the driver based on the actual situation.

3.If Zesangla Gongga Sky Garden cannot be visited due to special circumstances, it will be replaced with the Gongga Viewing Platform at Juri Monastery, with a shuttle fee of 320 RMB per vehicle (for a 5-seat SUV).
4.In the event of traffic congestion or road closures on Highway 434, the route will be adjusted to pass through Zheduo Mountain, and the Hong Haizi and Airport Road scenic spots will be canceled. The Zheduo Mountain Pass will be added as a sightseeing stop.

5.The shuttle fee for Gongga Sky Garden may increase during public holidays. The actual price will be based on the local charging standard.

6.Moon Lake and Gongga Sky Garden are subject to local winter weather conditions. During the autumn and winter seasons, the mountains may be closed for fire prevention. If the mountain is closed during this period, the visit will be changed to other viewpoints in Xinduqiao or Jiagenba (e.g., Juri Monastery Viewing Platform or Balang Shengdu Viewing Platform).

+ DAY 4: Xinduqiao – Xinduqiao Viewing Platform – Hong Haizi – 434 Airport Road – Muge Tso – Chengdu

After breakfast, depart for the Xinduqiao Viewing Platform to enjoy the scenic views. After the visit, continue on to Hong Haizi. Then, proceed to the Muge Tso Scenic Area, which will take about 50 minutes by car. You will have at least 3 hours to explore the area. Once your visit is complete, the driver will meet the group at the entrance to the scenic area. Afterward, head to Kangding for lunch. In the evening, the group will return to Chengdu, arriving around 7-8 PM, concluding the pleasant journey.
Reminder:

1. The regular return time is around 7-8 PM, but it may vary depending on traffic, the pace of the day's sightseeing, weather conditions, and other factors. Therefore, it’s advisable to book a flight or train for the next day.

2.If there is traffic congestion or road closure on Highway 434, the route will be adjusted to pass through Zheduo Mountain, and the Hong Haizi and Airport Road scenic spots will be canceled. Instead, a stop at the Zheduo Mountain Pass will be added for sightseeing.

Itinerary for the Day:
After breakfast, depart for the Siguniang Mountain Shuangqiao Valley Scenic Area, with at least 3 hours allocated for sightseeing. Recommended way to explore: A combination of sightseeing bus and hiking.
Typical sightseeing route:
Take the scenic area shuttle bus at the entrance, and after about 40 minutes, reach the end point at the Red Cedar Forest. From there, walk back to the entrance, passing through the following spots: Red Cedar Forest – Potala Peak – Siguniang Lake – Nianyu Dam – Longzhu Lake – Yunshan Yu Service Center – Ginseng Fruit Plain – Scenic Area Entrance. There are shuttle buses at each scenic spot in Shuangqiao Valley. However, it is recommended to walk between some of the points, especially between Potala Peak – Siguniang Lake, Nianyu Dam, Longzhu Lake – Yunshan Yu Service Center, as these areas offer beautiful photo opportunities. After finishing the sightseeing, the driver will meet you at the entrance of the scenic area. Next, head to the Maoniling Viewing Platform, with at least 15 minutes to enjoy the view. Maoniling Viewing Platform has no entrance fee. It is an excellent spot to enjoy the panoramic view of Siguniang Mountain, including breathtaking views of the sunrise and sunset. Standing here, you can see the four peaks stretching from north to south in a row. Among them, the Yao Mei Peak, at 6,250 meters, stands out remarkably. Afterward, cross over Balang Mountain and arrive in Chengdu around 8:00 PM, marking the end of the tour.

Yala Snow Mountain

located in Kangding City, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan, is a stunning high-altitude lake at 4,200 meters, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and forests. The crystal-clear water sparkles under the sun, and on calm days, the lake mirrors the majestic peaks, earning it the nickname "Mirror of the Sky." A haven for birdwatchers, it attracts migratory birds like black-necked cranes, grey cranes, and swans each spring and autumn. Beyond its natural beauty, the area is rich in Tibetan culture, with nearby villages and monasteries offering insight into Tibetan Buddhism and Thangka art.
