+Day 1: Arrival in Chengdu – Chunxi Road / Taikoo Li – Wuhou Shrine – Jinli Night Tour

09:00 Airport/Railway Pickup: Arrive in Chengdu in the morning. Your private driver will meet you and take you to the hotel to store your luggage (hotel check-in available after 2:00 PM).
10:30–12:00 Chunxi Road & Taikoo Li: Explore Chengdu’s trendiest district where tradition meets modernity. Browse stylish boutiques, sample local street food, and snap photos at popular Instagrammable spots—this is the heart of Chengdu’s urban lifestyle.
12:30–13:30 Lunch (on your own): Try local classics like Mapo Tofu and Fuqi Feipian (Sliced Beef and Ox Tongue in Chili Sauce).
14:00–16:00 Wuhou Shrine: Step into the era of the Three Kingdoms. Visit the famous “Red Wall Path” photo spot and hear the legendary stories of Prime Minister Zhuge Liang.
16:30–18:00 Jinli Night Tour: As the lanterns light up, stroll down this ancient street. Try local snacks like Sweet Rice Balls, San Da Pao (rice cake snack), and more (self-paid). Soak in the vibrant nighttime atmosphere of “the number one street in Western Sichuan.” After a short rest, return to your hotel.

+ Day 2: Panda Base – Dujiangyan – Yangtianwo Square – Blue Tears Night Show

08:00–11:00 Chengdu Panda Base: Get an up-close view of giant pandas munching bamboo and playing. Watch the adorable baby pandas being bottle-fed by their keepers (don’t miss the Moonlight Nursery!).
11:00–12:00 Drive to Dujiangyan: Enjoy the scenic views of the Chengdu Plain along the way.
12:30–13:30 Lunch (on your own): Recommended dishes near the Dujiangyan site include Minjiang River Fish, Smoked Pork, and Zhang Laozao (Sweet Rice Wine Dessert).
14:00–17:30 Dujiangyan Irrigation System (In-depth Visit): Walk along the Yuzui Splitter Dike, cross the Anlan Suspension Bridge, and learn about the water management brilliance of Li Bing and his son.
17:30–18:00 Yangtianwo Square: Snap creative photos with the giant “Selfie Panda” sculpture.
19:00–20:30 Blue Tears Light Show: Head to Nanqiao Bridge at nightfall to witness the dazzling “Blue Tears” light show—a magical display where river water and light create a dreamlike starlit illusion. Afterward, drive back to Chengdu.

15:30–16:00 People's Park: Sip a cup of tea and immerse yourself in Chengdu’s famously relaxed lifestyle.
16:00–17:30 Kuanzhai Alley: Take a leisurely stroll through the “most Chengdu” lanes. Enjoy traditional opera face-changing performances, sip Gaiwan tea, and explore local craft shops nestled in historic courtyard houses.

The base boasts a beautiful ecological environment with lush greenery, making it a comprehensive attraction that integrates research, education, tourism, and conservation. Here, you can closely observe the adorable antics of giant pandas, from munching on bamboo and climbing trees to rolling around, all of which will bring a smile to your face. In addition to the pandas, the base features a specialized science education area, allowing visitors to learn about their habits and conservation knowledge while enjoying the charming pandas. There's also a special “Panda Encounter” experience, where you can meet the celebrity panda "Hua Hua."

Dujiangyan

Located in the western part of Chengdu Plain, in the city of Dujiangyan, Sichuan Province, this ancient water conservancy project sits on the Minjiang River. It was originally constructed during the late Qin Dynasty under the command of Governor Li Bing and his son, who built it based on earlier works by the legendary figure Bie Ling. The Dujiangyan system, which includes the Fish Mouth, Flying Sand Weir, and Baopingkou, is the world’s oldest and largest water engineering project still in use today. Notably, it is unique for its ability to divert water without the use of dams.

Sanxingdui Museum

Tour the Sanxingdui site and explore its fascinating ancient civilization. Named after three large earth mounds that rise abruptly from the Chengdu Plain, Sanxingdui is a modern archaeological museum dedicated to the ancient Shu culture and one of the most important Bronze Age sites in southwestern China.The discovery of two massive sacrificial pits from the Shang dynasty revealed thousands of rare artifacts, including the Bronze Divine Tree, the Golden Staff, and the towering Bronze Standing Figure—many of which are unique in the world. These findings pushed back the timeline of the Shu civilization to 5,000 years ago and offer rich historical, scientific, artistic, and visual value. Here, you’ll experience the brilliance of ancient Shu culture and encounter the many mysteries that still surround Sanxingdui.
