2-Day Itinerary
+ Day 1: Panda Base Exploration
Hotel pick-up and transfer to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
Visit the Moonlight Nursery: Upon arrival, head straight to the Moonlight Nursery — the best place to see baby pandas. Watch these adorable cubs play, eat, and nap. A perfect experience for families with children.
Lunch:
Enjoy a self-paid lunch at the on-site restaurant. Sample local specialties and take a short break to recharge for the afternoon.
Afternoon:
Visit the Sunshine Nursery and other areas: After lunch, head to the Sunshine Nursery where adult pandas — including famous internet celebrities like "Chengshi" and "Qicheng" — live and play. Follow the designated route to visit the Juvenile Panda Villa, Red Panda Enclosure, and other spots to see pandas of all ages.
Explore the Panda Museum and Panda Tower: Discover the world’s first panda-themed museum, featuring rich exhibits and interactive displays that tell the story of panda conservation. Then climb Panda Tower for a panoramic view of the base and its beautiful landscape.
Exit via the West Gate and return to downtown Chengdu to check into your hotel. In the evening, you can explore the local food scene with hotpot, skewers, or other Chengdu specialties.

+ Day 2: Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Culture Tour
After breakfast, visit Shudao Tongqu Park, located near Beixin Avenue and the Chengdu Ring Expressway. The park is themed around the ancient Shu Road and integrates trade, tourism, and TCM culture.
TCM Cultural Experience at "The Courtyard of Wind": This trendy spot blends TCM culture with ancient Shu elements. Visit the Shu Medicine Exhibition Hall to learn about Sichuan's traditional medical practices. You can also experience TCM therapies and taste medicinal cuisine. Don’t miss the Qianjin Herbal Garden — a living exhibition of rare medicinal herbs used in TCM.
Lunch:
Enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant featuring TCM-inspired dishes like herbal chicken soup and medicinal pork ribs — a perfect blend of health and flavor.
Afternoon:
After lunch, transfer to the Baoshan Scenic Area in Pengzhou — a recognized demonstration base for TCM health tourism in Sichuan, in strategic partnership with Pengzhou TCM Hospital.
Visit the TCM Science Park and Cultural Hall to learn about the history, fundamentals, and evolution of traditional Chinese medicine through displays of herbs, artifacts, and informational exhibits.

Return to Chengdu in the evening.

The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is the largest giant panda breeding research institution in the world and the best place to observe these national treasures. The base boasts a beautiful ecological environment with lush greenery, making it a comprehensive attraction that integrates research, education, tourism, and conservation. Here, you can closely observe the adorable antics of giant pandas, from munching on bamboo and climbing trees to rolling around, all of which will bring a smile to your face. In addition to the pandas, the base features a specialized science education area, allowing visitors to learn about their habits and conservation knowledge while enjoying the charming pandas. There's also a special “Panda Encounter” experience, where you can meet the celebrity panda "Hua Hua."
