    Warm Tips

    1. Economic and Lifestyle Differences
Xinjiang is located in Northwest China, where the economic development level differs from that of eastern regions. As a result, the standards for food, accommodation, and transportation may vary. We appreciate your understanding.

    2. Time Difference in Daily Routines
Although Xinjiang follows Beijing Time, the region operates on a schedule roughly two hours behind eastern China. Locals typically start their day around 10:00 AM and go to bed around midnight (24:00).

    3. Large Temperature Fluctuations
There is a significant difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures, sometimes up to 20°C (68°F). At night, avoid setting the air conditioner too cold and always cover up with a proper blanket to prevent catching a cold.

    4. Long Travel Distances and Active Itinerary
Due to Xinjiang’s vast land area, bus rides can be long. In many cases, travelers will need to get off the bus for walking tours or to enjoy horseback or camel riding. Comfortable shoes are essential.

    5. Sun Protection and Health Supplies
While temperatures in Xinjiang are generally lower than inland China, many areas are located at high altitudes with strong UV radiation. Be sure to bring effective sunscreen, and consider packing herbal cooling drinks or medicines (e.g., Xia Sang Ju granules) to stay hydrated and comfortable in the dry heat. Travelers who experience motion sickness should bring their own medication.

    6. Adjusting to the Environment
Long travel distances and varying climates may lead to minor health issues such as acclimatization problems. It's advisable to carry basic medication, such as adhesive bandages, cold medicine, and medicine for digestive discomfort.

    7. Eating Local Fruits
Xinjiang is known as the "land of fruits." Enjoying local fruits is one of the highlights of traveling here. However, avoid drinking hot tea immediately after eating fruits, as this may lead to diarrhea.

    8. Respect Local Customs
Xinjiang is home to many ethnic minority groups with strong religious traditions. Many people here are Muslim and do not eat pork, which is a major taboo in their culture. Please be respectful and avoid any offensive behavior.

    9. Shopping Etiquette
In most parts of Xinjiang, prices for goods sold by weight are quoted per kilogram, not per Chinese jin (500 grams). Confirm the unit of measurement when purchasing. When shopping for souvenirs at bazaars or local markets, only bargain if you genuinely intend to buy. Casual or unserious haggling can upset vendors. If a deal can't be reached, please remain polite and respectful.

    Special Terms and Conditions

    1. Railway Operations and Force Majeure: Travelers acknowledge that railway operations are subject to national scheduling and may be affected by unforeseen events such as emergencies, schedule adjustments, construction, accidents, or equipment failures. In such cases, the travel agency will notify travelers at least 7 days in advance of any itinerary changes, or at least 5 days in advance if the train service is canceled. The agency is not liable for any breach of contract due to these force majeure events.

    2. Tour Cancellation Policy: Given that the train tour is a chartered service, the following cancellation fees apply:

      • After paying the deposit, cancellations for personal reasons will forfeit the deposit.

      • The balance payment is due 30 days before departure.

      • Cancellations made 15–29 days before departure will incur a 50% charge of the total tour cost.

      • Cancellations made 1–14 days before departure will incur an 85% charge.

      • Cancellations on the day of departure will incur a 100% charge.

      • Travelers may transfer their booking to another person up to 3 days before departure without penalty.
These terms supplement the main travel contract and take precedence in case of discrepancies.

    3. Pricing and Promotions: The travel agency reserves the right to offer discounts or promotions based on its sales strategy. Price differences arising after booking are not subject to refunds.

    4. Compliance with Tour Arrangements: To ensure a pleasant and safe journey, travelers are expected to follow the tour guide's arrangements upon arrival. Those who leave the group or join other activities independently assume full responsibility for their safety. Delays or missed activities due to personal reasons will not be the agency's responsibility.

    5. Free Time Activities: During designated free time, the agency will not provide driver or guide services. Travelers should remain vigilant about personal and property safety.

    6. Service Feedback: If there are concerns about services or standards during the trip, please address them promptly with the local guide or contact the booking office. Feedback should be documented on the provided opinion forms, which serve as the primary basis for any complaints. Incomplete or falsified forms may invalidate subsequent claims.

    7. Unforeseen Circumstances: The agency is not liable for losses or additional costs due to events like weather, natural disasters, or government actions that cause delays or cancellations. Unused attraction tickets will be refunded at the agreed group rate. Additional expenses incurred due to such events are the traveler's responsibility. The agency will strive to adjust the itinerary without compromising the quality of the tour.

    8. High-Risk Activities: Travelers engaging in high-risk activities (e.g., diving, skiing, bungee jumping) do so at their own risk. Individuals with health conditions, minors traveling alone, and seniors over 55 are advised against participating in such activities. The agency is not responsible for injuries resulting from these activities.

    9. Health Declarations: Travelers with serious health conditions or those over 80 are advised not to join the tour. Failure to disclose such information absolves the agency of liability. Insurance coverage for travelers over 75 or under 3 years old may be limited to 50% of the standard amount. Any shortfall in insurance compensation must be covered by the traveler.

    10. Itinerary Adjustments: The agency may adjust the order of visits or accommodations without reducing the number of attractions, especially in response to unforeseen events like natural disasters or transportation issues. Such adjustments do not constitute a breach of contract.

    11. Accommodation Arrangements: Efforts will be made to accommodate couples in the same room. However, to optimize room allocations, adjustments may be necessary, including room sharing or adding extra beds. Travelers desiring a single room must pay the applicable single supplement.

    12. Accidents and Emergencies: In case of accidents, the local agency will assist with medical care and insurance claims. Financial or physical damages must be reported and documented at the location. If a traveler chooses not to report an incident and completes the tour, they assume responsibility for any subsequent issues. The agency is not liable for unreported incidents.
