Heming Tea House:Heming Tea House, established in 1923, is one of the oldest tea houses in Chengdu, with a history spanning nearly a century. Located in Chengdu People's Park, it's a perfect spot to sit back, enjoy a cup of tea, admire flowers, and experience the most authentic "Chengdu style" life. The tea house has become a must-visit destination for both locals and tourists to enjoy the unique charm of Chengdu living, offering a truly relaxing experience. In the context of the city's new development, where modern urban concepts meet traditional charm, Heming Tea House stands as a key place to feel the essence of "Chengdu-style" life.
Leshan Giant Buddha:Located in Leshan, Sichuan, at the confluence of the Minjiang, Qingyi, and Dadu Rivers, the Leshan Giant Buddha is carved into the cliff face of Lingyun Mountain. Also known as Lingyun Buddha, it is a UNESCO World Heritage site recognized for its cultural and natural significance. The statue represents Maitreya Buddha in a seated position and is considered a masterpiece of Tang Dynasty cliff carving art. The construction of the Leshan Giant Buddha began in the Tang Dynasty and took three generations of artisans over 90 years to complete. Standing at approximately 70 meters tall, this colossal stone-carved statue is one of the largest in the world. Visitors are often amazed by the craftsmanship of ancient people who, without modern tools, were able to create such a magnificent sculpture.

+ Day 3: Mount Emei Scenic Area - Mount Qingcheng

Mount Emei is one of China’s Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains and the home of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva. The mountain is known for its many temples and mystical atmosphere. Its scenic beauty changes with the seasons. The monkeys here are famous for being mischievous, unafraid of humans, and often asking visitors for food.The Golden Summit, at 3,079 meters, is the highest point of Mount Emei. It features a 48-meter-high copper statue of Samantabhadra, the tallest golden Buddha in the world. The summit is also home to Huayan Temple, where visitors come to pray. The temple’s main hall, Huazang Zhuang Hall (also known as the Golden Hall), enshrines a copper statue of Samantabhadra riding an elephant.

Panda Valley is officially known as the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Dujiangyan Breeding and Release Research Center. This center includes a semi-wild release transition zone where giant pandas temporarily stay in fortress-like enclosures while gradually adapting to life in the wild.
Dujiangyan is located in the western part of Chengdu Plain, in Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province, and sits on the Min River. It is a vast engineering system consisting of the headworks (Yuzui, Feishayan, and Baopingkou), irrigation channels at various levels, various construction projects, as well as large, medium, and small reservoirs and ponds. The headworks cover an area of over 200 acres. Dujiangyan serves multiple purposes, including irrigation for over 11.3 million acres of farmland in seven cities and forty counties in the central and western Sichuan Basin, providing water for key enterprises and urban life in Chengdu, as well as flood control, power generation, water navigation, aquaculture, forestry, tourism, environmental protection, and other projects. It is an irreplaceable piece of water infrastructure for the economic development of Sichuan Province.

+ Day 5: Mount Qingcheng - Dujiangyan Irrigation System - Wuhou Shrine - Jinli Ancient Street - Sichuan Opera Experience - Chengdu

Dujiangyan is located in the western part of Chengdu Plain in Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province, on the Min River. Wuhou Shrine originally referred to a temple dedicated to Zhuge Liang, located beside Liu Bei’s mausoleum. After continuous repairs and integration during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it evolved into a complex consisting of the Hanzhaolie Temple, Wuhou Shrine, and Huiling Temple, which is now part of the cultural heritage protection zone of the Chengdu Wuhou Shrine Museum. It represents the first historical effort to integrate the cultural heritage of the Three Kingdoms period in Chengdu.
Jinli was one of the oldest and most commercially vibrant streets in ancient Western Shu, renowned during the Qin, Han, and Three Kingdoms periods. "Jinli" features typical Chengdu architecture from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, matching the architectural style of Wuhou Shrine. Visitors can enjoy a drink of "Hero’s Wine," watch a Three Kingdoms opera, and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the Three Kingdoms era. The area includes architectural features like the Wine Brewing Workshop, A Dou Well, Zhuge Liang Well, and Wu Yi Alley, offering a "dream-like journey back to the Three Kingdoms."
Sichuan Opera (commonly known as Chuanxi) is primarily popular in the Han Chinese regions of Southwest China, including Sichuan, Chongqing, Yunnan, and Guizhou. It is a traditional opera that blends five different vocal styles: Gaoqiang, Kunqu, Huqin (Pihuang), Tanci, and Sichuan folk lantern opera.

Muslim Quarter is a famous food street in Xi'an, known for its local snacks. Located in Beiyuanmen, it became a popular culinary area in the late 1990s when local Hui people started operating food businesses.
City Wall: The Xi'an City Wall is the oldest, largest, and best-preserved ancient city wall in China. It is a national cultural heritage site and a 5A-level tourist attraction.

Bell and Drum Towers: The Bell Tower and Drum Tower are ancient time-keeping buildings in China. Both feature elegant architecture and cultural significance, making them iconic landmarks in Xi'an.
Giant Wild Goose Pagoda: A large Tang Dynasty brick pagoda, it is the oldest and largest of its kind in China. It represents the fusion of ancient Indian Buddhist architecture with Chinese culture and is a symbol of the wisdom of the ancient Chinese people.

    Giant Wild Goose Pagoda

    A symbol of Xi’an, the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda is a Buddhist landmark built in the Tang Dynasty to house sacred scriptures brought from India by the monk Xuanzang. The pagoda stands within the Da Ci'en Temple complex and is an architectural masterpiece reflecting ancient Buddhist culture. In the evening, visitors can enjoy a spectacular music fountain show in the surrounding square.


    Huaqing Pool

    Located at the foot of Mount Li, Huaqing Pool is famous for its hot springs and imperial gardens. It served as a royal retreat for emperors throughout history, most notably as the love retreat of Emperor Xuanzong and Yang Guifei during the Tang Dynasty. Visitors can explore ancient bath relics, traditional Chinese architecture, and even enjoy the grand historical performance The Song of Everlasting Sorrow.


    Banpo Museum Fire-making Experience

    The Banpo Museum is an archaeological site showcasing the remains of a Neolithic village from around 6,000 years ago. In addition to exploring ancient dwellings, pottery, and burial sites, visitors can participate in a hands-on fire-making experience, learning how prehistoric people used primitive tools to create fire. This interactive activity offers insight into early human survival techniques.


    Bell and Drum Towers

    Standing in the heart of Xi’an, the Bell Tower and Drum Tower are two of the city’s most iconic historical landmarks. The Bell Tower, originally used to announce time during the Ming Dynasty, offers panoramic views of the city. The nearby Drum Tower features a collection of ancient drums and hosts live drumming performances, providing a glimpse into traditional Chinese timekeeping methods.


    Muslim Quarter

    A vibrant cultural and culinary hotspot, the Muslim Quarter is home to Xi’an’s Hui Muslim community.     Terracotta Army

    Dujiangyan

    Located in the western part of Chengdu Plain, in the city of Dujiangyan, Sichuan Province, this ancient water conservancy project sits on the Minjiang River. It was originally constructed during the late Qin Dynasty under the command of Governor Li Bing and his son, who built it based on earlier works by the legendary figure Bie Ling. The Dujiangyan system, which includes the Fish Mouth, Flying Sand Weir, and Baopingkou, is the world’s oldest and largest water engineering project still in use today. Notably, it is unique for its ability to divert water without the use of dams.



    Mount Qingcheng

    A UNESCO World Heritage Site, a National 5A Tourist Attraction, and the global headquarters of Taoism, Mount Qingcheng is one of China’s Four Great Taoist Mountains and one of the Five Great Immortal Mountains. It is also one of the birthplaces of Taoism in China. The mountain is divided into the Front Mountain and the Rear Mountain, both of which are covered in lush greenery and remain verdant throughout the year. Surrounded by numerous peaks that resemble city walls, it is aptly named Qingcheng, meaning “Green City Mountain.”
