1-Day Itinerary

+ Day 1:Chengdu – Sichuan Cuisine Museum – People’s Park / Kuanzhai Alley City Walk

8:00 AM – Meet-up and departure. Your tour guide will be waiting for you at the designated meeting point.
9:30 AM – Arrive at the Sichuan Cuisine Museum, located in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The Interactive Exhibition Hall is the highlight of the museum — a true feast of culinary art and tradition. Under the guidance of a professional instructor, you'll put on a chef’s uniform and try your hand at making a classic Sichuan dish, such as Mapo Tofu or Kung Pao Chicken (subject to availability on site).
During the cooking experience, you’ll uncover the secrets behind authentic Sichuan cuisine — from expert knife skills to the precise control of heat. You'll experience the signature Sichuan cooking style: quick stir-frying, precise seasoning, and bold flavors all coming together in a single dish. As your hand-crafted dish comes sizzling out of the wok, you’ll get to enjoy the fruits of your labor and discover the true meaning of the saying: “a hundred dishes, a hundred flavors.”
After the hands-on session, enjoy a selection of local snacks and your own dish, followed by a special “Sichuan Cuisine Expert” certificate awarded by the museum.
2:00 PM – Depart for People’s Park in downtown Chengdu.
3:30 PM – Arrive at People’s Park. Stroll through this peaceful city oasis until you reach the famous Heming Teahouse. Here you’ll get a real taste of Chengdu’s laid-back lifestyle. Locals gather to play cards and chess, chat with friends, or simply relax and soak in the sunshine. The air is filled with the rich aroma of tea, roasted sunflower seeds, and the joyful buzz of conversation — a heartwarming snapshot of daily life in Chengdu.
4:30 PM – Walk to Kuanzhai Alley (Wide and Narrow Alleys), one of Chengdu’s most iconic neighborhoods for leisure and food. This historic district is the perfect place to slow down and experience the rhythm of local life. It’s also a culinary paradise, offering everything from spicy hotpot and skewers to traditional street snacks like sweet glutinous rice balls, egg pancakes, and wontons. Whether you’re a local or a visitor, there’s something here to satisfy every craving.
5:30 PM – End of the day’s tour. We hope you enjoyed your time with us!
