Important Reminders

  • A valid original ID is required for check-in at the monastery.
  • Participants must attend all scheduled activities on time and in full, unless there are special circumstances.
  • Please follow the monastery’s regulations, show respect to the Three Jewels (Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha), and comply with the instructions of the monastery staff.
  • As a sacred and tranquil place, the monastery strictly prohibits loud noises, running, smoking, and touching any items without permission.
  • Only vegetarian meals will be provided. Please do not bring meat, alcohol, or tobacco into the monastery. Be mindful and avoid food waste.
  • Dress modestly and appropriately—tank tops, shorts, and slippers are not allowed in the monastery.
  • The meditation retreat is suitable for individuals with stable physical and mental health. Those with heart disease, high blood pressure, mental illness, infectious diseases, or pregnancy are advised not to participate. Minors must be accompanied by a guardian.
  • The itinerary may be adjusted based on monastery policies, religious ceremonies, special arrangements, or unforeseen circumstances. Your understanding is appreciated.

Nestled in the heart of modern Chengdu, Daci Temple is a stunning fusion of ancient Buddhist heritage and urban dynamism. With a history spanning over a thousand years, this sacred site once hosted the renowned monk Xuanzang before his legendary journey to India. Today, the temple stands in striking contrast to the surrounding skyscrapers and trendy Taikoo Li shopping district, creating a mesmerizing blend of tradition and modernity. Visitors can experience the peaceful ambiance of incense-filled halls, participate in Zen practices, or simply marvel at the seamless coexistence of the old and the new in this captivating cultural landmark.

*Please note that tickets for scenic areas and performances are limited and require real-name registration. To book tickets, please provide accurate ID information (name and ID number) in advance. Once the ticket booking is confirmed, travel arrangements can proceed. Tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged after issuance. If tickets are pre-sold, availability will be confirmed at the time of issuance. If tickets are unavailable, we recommend choosing alternative routes. Thank you for your understanding.

    Change & Cancellation Policies

    • If a cancellation request is submitted before 00:00 on the day 10 day(s) before departure, no fee will be charged for cancellation.
    • If a cancellation request is submitted before 00:00 on the day 7 day(s) before departure, a fee of 10% will be charged.
    • If a cancellation request is submitted before 00:00 on the day 4-6 day(s) before departure, a fee of 50% will be charged.
    • If a cancellation request is submitted before 00:00 on the day 1-3 day(s) before departure, a fee of 80% will be charged.
    • If a discount is applied, the fee will be calculated as a proportion of the pre-discount price. It will not exceed the amount actually paid.
