Tour 'Wow' Points

Wenshu Monastery

Wenshu Monastery, the oldest and most culturally significant Buddhist temple in Chengdu, offers a serene retreat amidst the city's vibrant energy. Known as a sacred site of Manjushri Bodhisattva, it embodies the essence of Zen with its ancient halls, tranquil gardens, and the lingering aroma of incense. Visitors can immerse themselves in Chengdu’s unique Buddhist culture by participating in activities such as sutra copying, tea meditation, and enjoying authentic vegetarian cuisine. Whether seeking spiritual enlightenment or simply a moment of peace, Wenshu Monastery provides an authentic glimpse into the Zen lifestyle of Chengdu.

Daci Temple

Nestled in the heart of modern Chengdu, Daci Temple is a stunning fusion of ancient Buddhist heritage and urban dynamism. With a history spanning over a thousand years, this sacred site once hosted the renowned monk Xuanzang before his legendary journey to India. Today, the temple stands in striking contrast to the surrounding skyscrapers and trendy Taikoo Li shopping district, creating a mesmerizing blend of tradition and modernity. Visitors can experience the peaceful ambiance of incense-filled halls, participate in Zen practices, or simply marvel at the seamless coexistence of the old and the new in this captivating cultural landmark.
